No. Spec4AI Studio is a runtime. There’s no centralized store, no review process, no 30% cut. Applets are distributed via links, QR codes, and channels — like sharing a file, not listing a product.
The phone runs applets in a sandboxed runtime with permission controls. Your desktop runs the builder — generating, testing, and deploying applets. The phone never needs the desktop to run applets after deployment.
Only if the capability is declared in the manifest AND you approve it via a permission card. Access is leased (time-limited) and every use generates a receipt.
No. Local-first is the default. Your builder runs on your machine. Cloud build credits are an optional convenience for people who don’t want to run a local builder.
Publishers register with a public key and can create channels — like RSS feeds for applets. Users subscribe to channels they trust. Verified publishers have passed additional evidence checks.
Spec4AI Studio is Android-first. iOS support may be limited due to platform restrictions on sideloading and runtime environments. We’re exploring options but being honest about constraints.
